Cape Point

Comments Off on Cape Point

Ancient remains found here show that this region has been used by humans for thousands of years. This area has a lot to offer including hiking, fynbos which is particularly unique to this area, and you get an opportunity to see more animals here than anywhere else on the Cape Peninsula. On a successful animal viewing day you’ll see different antelope species, ostrich, baboons, and other small mammals, reptiles and bird species. There are a few routes to choose from depending on the amount of time you’d like to hike.

One reason to choose this route: To get off the tour bus and into the fynbos for a more in depth nature experience.

Time: 2-7 hours depending on route.

Cost: R1500 per person (minimum 2 persons). Plus R700 for the group to have a privately guided hike. Rates valid until August 31, 2020.

Includes: Pick up and drop off to and from your accommodation in Cape Town’s City Centre and Atlantic Seaboard areas.

Excludes: Entry fee to Cape Point (R303 per international adult)

Let us know if you’d like to purchase a lunchbox from us for R150 per person. Included: a sandwich or wrap, seasonal fruit, snacks and 2 liters of water to keep your energy up along the way. Or purchase a snack pack which is all of the above minus the sandwich for R110 per person. We are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements you may have, just let us know when you book. Feel free to bring your own food and water if you prefer for the trail. Here is another option to keep in mind…there is a takeaway shop at Cape Point. This offers basic hot and cold food options in a touristy area, OR there is a fine dining restaurant called Two Oceans which offers delicious sit down meals. Please note: if you wish to dine at the restaurant you’ll need to make a reservation before hand as there is not usually open seating on the day. We can help you with this…just let us know you’re interested. The sit down meal takes +/-1-2 hours so is not an option for the longer hikes. Meals at the restaurants are for your own account.
