Constantia Nek Circular

Comments Off on Constantia Nek Circular

This route starts on the backside of Table Mountain where you can either ascend the easy way up the jeep track or a more adventurous way up Constantia Corner with a few bits of scrambling(using your hands and feet to climb up). You can expect spectacular views over the Constantia Winelands, Hout Bay, part of the Cape Peninsula and the backside of Table Mountain. We walk up and through a valley which is a peaceful spot offering unique rock formations and finally to the dams that were built on Table Mountain in the late 1800s, and back down a circular route to the jeep track and back to the car. This route you will see the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town including Constantia, Muizenberg, the Cape Flats, the Hottentots Hollands Mountain range in the distance and Seal Island if it’s a clear day.

One reason to choose this hike: If it’s not on a weekend it will be nice and quiet as it is far from the crowds of the Cableway.

Time: 6 hours

Cost: R850 per person (+R400 for the group to have a privately guided hike or +R400 single supplement if applicable)

Includes: Pick up and drop off to and from your accommodation in Cape Town’s city centre.

Let us know if you’d like to purchase a lunchbox from us for R150 per person that includes a sandwich, seasonal fruit, snacks and 2 liters of water for the day. Or purchase a snack pack which is all that minus the sandwich for R110 per person.
