Lions Head

Comments Off on Lions Head

This is a favorite ‘value for time’ hike in Cape Town. Rising almost 700 meters above sea level, Lion’s Head offers 360º panoramic views of Cape Town’s city bowl, Table Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard with its flashy neighborhoods of Clifton and Camps Bay and their turquoise blue waters. On a clear day Robben Island can be seen in the distance. The trail may look intimidating at the start but it’s do-able with expert guidance. There are 2 sets of short ladders to climb while on the trail. We break the hike up into four sections with plenty of time to stop and take in the spectacular scenery. This one is best explored at sunrise or sunset.

One reason to choose this hike: It was voted ‘One of the Most Thrilling Hikes in the World’ by National Geographic. If you only have a short time in the Cape this is one not to miss before you go.

Time: +/-3 hours roundtrip depending on pace

Includes: Pick up and drop off to and from your accommodation in Cape Town’s city centre.

Cost: R700 per person (+R400 for the group to have a privately guided hike or +R400 single supplement if applicable)

Let us know if you’d like to purchase a lunchbox from us for R150 per person that includes a sandwich, seasonal fruit, snacks and 2 liters of water for the day. Or purchase a snack pack which is all that minus the sandwich for R110 per person.
