Pipe Track along 12 Apostles

Comments Off on Pipe Track along 12 Apostles

If you want to experience the beauty of Table Mountain without any strenuous uphill or downhill then this hike is for you. The trail is relatively easy and offers great views of Camps Bay beach and the Twelve Apostles. This hike at the base of Table Mountain, winds its way along a contour path of the 12 Apostle buttresses where Cape Town’s first fresh water was piped from the reservoirs on top of the mountain to the city below. The hike goes through some of the rare indigenous forest, across a small stream to a beautiful cave lookout before heading back the same way. Fantastic photo opportunities abound and there are many spots to stop for a break.

One reason to choose this hike: If you want to get out in nature to see spectacular views without all the work of hiking to the top of the mountain.

Time: +/- 3 hours roundtrip

Cost: R700 per person (+R400 for the group to have a privately guided hike or +R400 single supplement if applicable)

Includes: Pick up and drop off to and from your accommodation in Cape Town’s city centre.

Let us know if you’d like to purchase a lunchbox from us for R150 per person that includes a sandwich, seasonal fruit, snacks and 2 liters of water for the day. Or purchase a snack pack for R110 per person which is all that minus the sandwich.
